Update (June 14): Due to the predicted weather later today, K-3 Field Day is postponed to Monday, June 17. The schedule for it will remain the same.
The CES Flag Day Ceremony is still taking place as scheduled this morning.
Castleton Elementary School’s 2024 Flag Day Ceremony, K-3 Field Day and Grades 4-6 Field Day are coming up! CES families are welcome at these events, please see the schedules and information about them below.
Preparing for Field Days
For Field Days, please have your students dress accordingly for extended outdoor activities. This includes bringing hats, sneakers, water bottles and applying sunscreen before school. Some activities involve water, so send a labeled change of clothes if you feel your students will need it. Additionally, students are encouraged to wear their grade-level colored assembly shirts.
Grades 4-6 Field Day (Friday, June 7)
Grades 4-6 Field Day is scheduled for Friday, June 7, 2024. Activities will take place at the Maple Hill Jr./Sr. High School Track & Field. If attending, please do not park behind Maple Hill due to ongoing construction in that area. Please park out front in the main parking lot.
- 8:30 AM – 10:30 AM: Grades 4-5 Field Day Events
- 10:45 AM – 11:15 AM: Grades 4-6 Lunch
- 11:30 AM – 1:30 PM: Grade 6 Field Day Events
Flag Day Ceremony (Friday, June 14)
The annual Castleton Elementary School K-6 Flag Day Ceremony is scheduled for Friday, June 14, 2024. All K-6 families are invited to join students and staff at the CES Flag Pole for the ceremony, which will last from 8:20 AM – 9:30 AM.
Kindergarten-3rd Grade Field Day (Friday, June 14)
Kindergarten-3rd Grade Field Day is scheduled for Friday, June 14, 2024. Activities will take place at the Castleton Elementary School Field/Playground Area.
- 9:45 AM – 11:15 AM: K-3 Field Day Events
- 11:15 AM – 11:45 AM: Handwashing & Bathroom Break
- 11:45 AM – 12:30 PM: Picnic Style Lunch
